Girona fell to a defeat after leading Rayo Vallecano last weekend; it is a result that, barring something unusual in the closing weeks, has ended the Catalans’ push for the playoff places. They come up against a Real Zaragoza side that have been on an excellent run throughout 2021 that has pretty much kept them up. They remain in contention for relegation but they have built up a gap between themselves and the danger area. Zaragoza come into this on the back of a 2-1 win over Almeria to make it just one defeat in seven. A good bet for this would be under 2.5 goals as only four teams have scored fewer at home than Girona’s 16 whilst only four have scored fewer away from home than Zaragoza’s 12.
