Girona come into this on the back of a tight 1-0 home defeat to automatic promotion hopefuls Almeria. A match that was balanced but a 72nd minute winner followed by a 90th minute red card for Bernardo Espinosa means the Catalans are now in the back-seat of those challenging for the top six. They come up against a Lugo side who are extremely mid-table. March might be a bit early for the cliche of “on the beach” and they aren’t completely and utterly safe yet. However, they are now on a run of six without a win and haven’t won away since late-October. Girona will be heavily fancied for this one.
