THE PREDICTION
Girona’s push for the playoff remains on, especially as Rayo Vallecano continue to slip-up. That gives three or four sides a bit of hope and Girona are one of them. The Catalans come into this on the back of an unbeaten run of three but just one win in that run, their first draw in that run involved a two-goal comeback after being 3-1 down with just eight minutes to of normal time. They come up against an Almeria side still challenging for the automatic spots but back-to-back defeats against fellow contenders Leganes and Mallorca has halted their progress a fortnight ago. However, they recovered with a 4-1 home win over Lugo last weekend. A solid bet for this one would be high booking points as Girona sit second from bottom in the fair play table whilst Almeria are 17th and only one team has collected more yellow cards than them.
