THE PREDICTION
Albacete’s recent good run of form continued last weekend with a 1-0 victory away to Real Oviedo. Remarkably, despite being at risk of being cut adrift a few weeks ago, they are now marching towards the congested mid-table section - they aren’t there yet though. Unbeaten in five with four wins is a remarkable improvement. They come up against a Mallorca side who have built a minor recovery after a mid-season stalling in their promotion charge. A run of no wins in four, in all competitions, has been halted by back-to-back victories against Rayo Vallecano and Girona - two sides who had been reasonable form and have intentions of promotion. Despite the good form of the home side, it is clear who is the better team and given the better team is also in form, it is fair to put them as favourites.
