The home team come into this on the back of a goalless draw at home to Real Betis last weekend. Real Sociedad are still firmly in the battle for European qualification and they won’t yet have written off breaking back into the top four. La Real are unbeaten in their last five matches with just one defeat in their last seven. That one defeat came against top-of-the-table Real Madrid. They now come up against a Barcelona side that suffered a surprise defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League before facing Cadiz at the weekend.
