THE PREDICTION

This is a game between two sides that are still challenging for promotion ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures. Girona come into this on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat away to bottom-of-the-table Alcorcon last weekend. The Catalans sit inside the top six and the playoff places, two points behind Tenerife. Tenerife’s 2-0 defeat of Lugo last weekend extended their unbeaten run of form to five matches. They haven’t conceded more than one goal in a Segunda game in their last nine matches. This should be a low-scoring encounter between two strong and in-form sides.
