THE PREDICTION
Following their quarter-final exit to Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Europa League last month, Xavi’s Barcelona are in danger of letting their campaign fizzle out. The former midfield maestro has implemented an intense and aggressive style of play but the Catalans’ did manage a slender 1-0 win away to Real Sociedad on Thursday. They come up against a Rayo Vallecano side that, under the management of Andoni Iraola, have endured a really tough 2022 but they do come into this on the back of a much-needed 1-0 victory away to Espanyol in midweek. Despite that potential return to form, Barca will still be expected to win this one quite comfortably.
