THE PREDICTION
A lot of the pre-match talk ahead of this one surrounds whether or not Atletico Madrid will give a guard of honour to the champions, and their city rivals, Real Madrid. Diego Simeone’s side need to focus on the pitch a lot more, though, as their top four spot and UEFA Champions League qualification is in serious doubt. Los Rojiblancos have won just one of their last four matches. Real Madrid come into this on the back of another crazy European comeback at home to Manchester City in the semi-finals in midweek. Carlo Ancelotti’s Los Blancos are in simply ridiculous form. This will be an even contest and Atletico will attempt to bring it down a few levels in terms of entertainment. A low-scoring encounter appears likely for this one.
