THE PREDICTION
Villarreal come into this on the back of a trip to Zagreb on Thursday night for the first leg of their Europa League Quarter-Final. The second leg of that tie is in the midweek following this match against Osasuna so the potential for distraction or change in prioritisation could happen. They managed a 3-0 away win at fellow Europa League participants Granada last weekend and that win has extended their winning run to five matches in all competitions as they recover from a terrible two-month spell between mid-January and mid-March. Osasuna’s impressive 2021 has began to stall as they come into this on the back of three consecutive goalless draws and they have scored just two goals in their last seven matches. Given that, and Villarreal’s potential loss of focus, under 2.5 goals would be a reasonable bet.
