THE PREDICTION
The home team come into this on the back of a moral-sapping 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid. On paper, it isn’t too bad but the performance was pathetic. Gracia, the coach, has done reasonably well with a side that have been stripped by their owner. However, the group of players that remain are better than performance like last weekend where they had just one shot on target against a vulnerable Madrid. They come up against a Celta side who have gone through a dip after an impressive start to Eduardo Coudet’s reign in late-November and early-December. However, they are now unbeaten in four and recent results against, a 2-2 draw with Atletico and a 3-1 win over Elche, are really encouraging. Valencia have made themselves difficult to beat but Celta will hope to inflict that upon them.
