‘Tis the “most fiercely contested” derby in Spain and possibly the most underrated rivalry in Europe. Subjectively, of course. Sevilla are in horrible form whilst Betis are flying. Lopetegui’s Sevilla have collapsed. Their elimination from the Champions League in midweek against Borussia Dortmund, collapse in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Barcelona and back-to-back Liga defeats against Barcelona and Elche mean there is no chance of silverware. If Betis were to win then they will move three points behind, something that seemed extremely unlikely when Betis were struggling early on. A 3-2 win after being 2-0 down last week at home to Alaves has continued Pellegrini’s sides incredible form. An entertaining one where both teams score would be a good bet.
