THE PREDICTION
Real Sociedad’s stunningly fast start has slowly collapsed and, despite flickers of an improvement in recent weeks, they fell to another defeat last weekend going down 2-1 at Levante. They continue to be without key players David Silva and Mikel Oyarzabal and their absence is really showing as La Real have not won in eight games in all competitions. Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, have continued to pick up results despite a dip in performance but a crucial 2-0 defeat to Real means they are more worried than they should’ve been. A 3-1 win against Elche which flattered Atleti was welcome as both Luis Suarez and Diego Costa got on the scoresheet. An Atletico win at Anoeta this week will be a huge statement by Simeone and his men. However, whilst that is in doubt, under 2.5 goals shouldn’t be in doubt as both sides come into this game in a tense mood.
