THE PREDICTION
Zinedine Zidane’s side have been given a lifeline as they look to pursue their city rivals Atletico at the top of La Liga. Real come into this on the back of a 1-0 away victory over Atalanta in the Champions League; like last season, they appear to be finding a way. However, they will be without Eden Hazard, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Eder Militao, Sergio Ramos, Alvaro Odriozola, Fede Valverde, Rodrygo and Karim Benzema remains a doubt. Real Sociedad come into this after a composed 0-0 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United in an already lost Europa League Last 32 tie. The Basque side have regained some form in the league with three straight wins and are now unbeaten in five league games. Given that form and Real’s ability to find a way, a result is difficult to call but both teams to score seems a strong bet.
