THE PREDICTION
This is a Valencia derby between one team who play fluent football and have had a generally positive team against another who could easily fall into a relegation battle; however, it isn’t the way around you’d think based on reputation. Levante come into this on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat away to Real Sociedad which backed up an extra-time Copa del Rey semi-final second leg defeat to Athletic in the previous midweek. Mass rotation and a lack of motivation cost them last week and the latter of the two could affect them moving forward. Their opponents, Valencia, are on the back of another Valencia derby with a dramatic last-gasp victory over Villarreal. That now means it is three straight home victories which has carried them, probably, out of trouble. One side is reasonably progressive but potentially lacking in general motivation whilst the other are in reasonable form and a few wins away from guaranteed safety. Both teams to score could be a solid bet.
