THE PREDICTION
Getafe’s very underwhelming season has been a continuation of Bordalas’ aggressive style but without the effectiveness. Three games without a goal against Alaves, Sevilla and Real Madrid means they are now, legitimately, in a relegation battle. They come up against Real Sociedad who have appeared to turn the corner after a dip following their fast start; at least in terms of performances. A 4-1 win against Cadiz has backed up back-to-back draws against Betis and Villarreal which followed a thrilling but disappointing defeat to Sevilla. Their Basque derby win on New Years’ Eve has given La Real a platform to build towards another European qualification this season. An away win, given that up-turn, seems possible.
