THE PREDICTION
This is a clash between a side slipping dangerously close to the bottom three with not much time left in the season against a currently care-free side firmly ensconced in mid-table. Getafe have collapsed on-the-pitch since the post-lockdown return to Liga action; they have gone from playing Europa League knockout football to legitimate concerns over their top-flight status and they come into this on the back of just one win in their last 12 having scored just six goals in that time. Levante have the ability to relax and enjoy the end of this season after a positive campaign that could result in a top-half finish but that is very unlikely. The Valencia side had been excellent until their elimination from the Copa del Rey at the semi-final stage in mid-March; since then, they seem to have drifted. However, their evolved style of play under Paco Lopez this season paid off in another match against the big three where they took points. A 3-3 draw against Barcelona, in which they came from two goals down was an excellent example of their ability to exploit the space left by the more proactive Liga clubs. Despite Getafe’s lack of goals, they will need to create something in this game, given that and Levante’s ability to be more relaxed in front of goal, both teams to score might be a solid bet for this one.
