THE PREDICTION
Elche’s 2-1 defeat away to Granada in which they conceded the winner in the 79th minute has left the Valencia club in a perilous position as they look to avoid relegation straight back down. They come up against a Sevilla side on the back of back-to-back defeats to Barcelona in which they failed to score. As well as that, it pretty much ended any feint title hopes and the second of the defeats overturned the Andalusians’ 2-0 first-leg win in the Copa del Rey semi-final. Basically, Lopetegui’s men are in a bad state. However, their relentlessness of winning matches ‘to nil’, primarily by two goals to nil as well, would suggest they are more than capable of bouncing back against the lowly Elche.
