THE PREDICTION
Celta’s recent improvement has been a long time coming. Back-to-back victories has seen the Galicians’ concerns of another relegation battle begin to ease. A perennial over-reliance on Iago Aspas is also beginning to soften. Since the November international break, they have scored seven goals and Aspas is only responsible for two of them. They are up against another side who eased an alarming run of results with victory over the consistently poor Barcelona last Saturday. A 2-1 win for Cadiz was their first win in four. It means that the newly-promoted side have collected eight points against Granada, Villarreal, Real Madrid and Barcelona this season. It is a game in which both slides will feel good about themselves but Celta’s good form could be dampened by a determined Cadiz side that have only lost one of their five away games. It’ll be a tight match so under 3.5 goals should be a safe bet. Both sides have been prone to red cards with four each and Celta are actually second bottom of the La Liga fair play table so an aggressive approach from Cadiz could see Celta’s record get even worse.
