THE PREDICTION
Cadiz have slowly drifted and dropped off in recent weeks after a brilliant start back in the top-flight. A 2-1 victory over Barcelona in late November is their only victory in seven games but they remain in contention for an unlikely top-half finish and even a possible European qualification. They are up against Real Valladolid who have been genuinely very good since just before the November international break. Victory of Athletic prior to that break has been backed up with just two defeats in six and those defeats being Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. A hapless start to the season means this recovery is very welcome but hasn’t yet been enough to prevent them being in the relegation places. Their run in form means they will favour themselves for this game; especially as Cadiz have won just one of their eight home games this season.
