THE PREDICTION
This is a pretty big one. Spain’s leading capital sides are separated by five points; a win for the two Clasico giants this weekend would mean the gap between the top three is two. Atletico have a precious game in hand but they remain under pressure. A classic win last weekend at Villarreal was very Atletico; arguably outplayed by Villarreal without conceding obvious chances resulting in a 2-0 win. They come up against a Real Madrid side on the back of a home draw against Real Sociedad. They were better than they have been going forward but they remain low-scoring. They are also without Eden Hazard, Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao but could welcome Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema back for this one. It’ll be tense and low-scoring but a result is too close to call; under 2.5 goals should happen.
