THE PREDICTION
This Madrid derby is between the creator of Cholismo and perhaps its most successful disciple. Simeone v Bordalas in the week between Christmas and New Year will be dour and gritty; but it might be quite fun to watch. Card points should be high and goals should be fairly low. Atletico have maintained impressive results despite playing fairly poorly since their 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid earlier this month. On the other hand, Getafe have been distinctly average poor for the majority of the season but had a fairly positive Christmas run-in with an away win at Cadiz and a home point against the in-form Celta. Atletico Madrid and under 3.5 goals, though, still seems like a very likely outcome for this game.
