THE PREDICTION
The Ukrainian Premier League remains suspended after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The atrocities being committed leave the continuation of the Russian Premier League in a surreal state and circumstances with managers, players and clubs in a general state of flux. Bear in mind that this league could be suspended at any stage given the ongoing situation. The home team come into this on the back of a much-needed 1-0 win at home to Arsenal Tula in the league last weekend. Rubin Kazan, under the management of Leonid Slutsky, had been in terrible form and they remain in the bottom-half ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures. They now come up against a Sochi side that come into this on the back of an impressive run of form. The southerners are unbeaten in their last four matches as they challenge to finish in the top four and qualify for Europe. A low-scoring encounter is expected, regardless of the result.
