Tambov are in familiar territory as they currently occupy the same spot – 14th – as they finished the recent 2019-20 campaign. In fairness to them, their opening fixtures have been tough, not least their trip to reigning champions Zenit last time out, and there were one or two promising signs in their 1-0 victory over Khimki last Tuesday. Sochi, meanwhile, will be delighted with how they have started the season as they sit in third place and are unbeaten heading into this match. They are favoured here but it would be no surprise to see them concede along the way as they have yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
