Rostov successfully ended a run of three successive Russian Premier League losses last time out, after beating Arsenal Tula 1-0 in a scrappy affair. Still, three points is not to be sniffed at and they have a golden opportunity to back that up here at home to rock bottom Tambov. The visitors are destined for relegation having been cut adrift at the bottom of the table and after beaten in 14 of their last 15 league matches could see their fate sealed here with defeat. Despite having little to play for in the grand scheme of things bar league position with the gap between themselves and the European places considerable, Rostov are still expected to comfortably defeat Tambov here even if they aren’t at their best.
