Defeat in the derby with Lokomotiv Moscow last time out was a huge blow to CSKA’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League and, although that is still a possibility if they win here, they will need other results to fall their way. They should fulfil their end of the bargain in this clash with Tambov however, who have not been in action for over 10 days after their planned match with Sochi was postponed due to a coronavirus outbreak in their opponents’ squad.
