THE PREDICTION
These were two sides that would be deemed as last season’s Primeira Liga surprise packages. Estoril began the season really before fading whilst Gil Vicente were fairly rampant against ‘the rest’ outside of the ‘big four’ as they finished in the top five and qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League. Gil Vicente were beaten in qualifying for that competition and started the domestic season well and the home team now come into this on the back of a 3-1 hammering at the hands of Sporting CP. The visitors have started well, once again, this time around and come into this on the back of back-to-back draws making it just one defeat in their last six matches. A draw would appear the likeliest outcome for this one as Estoril have a habit of being too conservative and they are going away from home.
