THE PREDICTION
The home team come into this match on the back of a draw and a defeat to kick off their new season and the reign of interim co-coaches Hakon Wibe-Lund and Bjorn Petter Ingebretsen following the departure of former Bolton forward Henrik Pedersen in the off-season. Stromsgodset finished last season in a disappointing 13th position and progress will have to made in 2021. They come up against the newly-promoted Tromso that have started the campaign very brightly. A dominant promotion in 2020 has been taken into 2021 - at least in terms of performance. They have drawn 3-3 with perennial challengers Molde as well as putting up a good showing, despite defeat, against champions Bodo/Glimt. However, they did fall to a disappointing 3-1 home loss against Sandefjord which will frustrate the home team whose home advantage of being in the Arctic Circle is usually beneficial. They have kept a clean sheet in one game but conceded three goals in each of their other three; however, they do look capable of scoring, too. Given that, goals should be on the cards in this one.
