After suffering defeat in their opening game of the Liga MX season, Leon bounced back in the best possible way by beating Tijuana 2-1, which saw them leapfrog their opponents here in the table, after Queretaro could only draw 1-1 away at Atletico San Luis, their second successive draw of the season. The hosts have had little time to prepare for this fixture with just a three-day turnaround between their most recent game and this one.
