THE PREDICTION

Monterrey come into this on the back of a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Club Tijuana in the final match of the Clausura. Last season’s CONCACAF Champions League finished the 17-game season well with fairly inconsistent form. They now come up against an Atletico San Luis side that come into this on the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to Santos Laguna last weekend. Monterrey will come into this one as the favourites, especially with home advantage.
