Salernitana enjoyed their best Serie B finish (10^th) since earning promotion from the third tier in the 2014-15 season and they only narrowly missed out on a play-off place due to some poor post-lockdown form. A managerial change has seen Fabrizio Castori come in and he will be keen to see his side make a strong start against promoted side Reggina. The visitors are back in the second tier for the first time since the 2013-14 season and the dominant manner in which they secured promotion last season has given them hope that they can compete well in the division.
