Salernitana begin the final six matches of the 2023/24 Serie A season sitting 12 points adrift of safety and they are very much simply awaiting their relegation back down to Serie B to be mathematically confirmed. Stefano Colantuono is their fourth manager of the campaign after the sackings of Paulo Sousa, Filippo Inzaghi and Fabio Liverani.
The home team come into this one on the back of being thrashed by four goals to one at the Stadio Olimpico in the capital city against Lazio in their most recent outing, last weekend. Felipe Anderson and Matias Vecino established an early 2-0 lead for Lazio before Junior Tchaouna pulled one back but Anderson completed a brace before a late Gustav Isaksen strike sealed the hammering.

Last season, Fiorentina were runners’ up in both the UEFA Europa Conference League and the Coppa Italia and they could well do that again, or maybe go a couple of steps further. Coached by Vincenzo Italiano, I Viola moved into the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League in midweek where they will face Club Brugge.
Their underwhelming performances continued over both legs against Viktoria Plzen with a goalless draw after 210 minutes before then edging past Viktoria on penalties. They are also currently 1-0 up against Atalanta in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia but they are winless in their last five Serie A matches.
