Internazionale have been absolutely magnificent so far this season as they search for a second star on their badge as they approach a 20th Italian title. The Nerazzurri, coached by former Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi, are sitting seven points clear of Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus at the top-of-the-table and they also have a game in hand, too.
Inter come into this one on the back of a fantastic and thrilling 4-2 victory over Roma at Stadio Olimpico last weekend. They were behind at the break but managed to complete an eventually emphatic win that now means they have enjoyed seven successive victories across all competitions in 2024, including winning the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia last month.
SALERNITANA
Salernitana come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to fellow strugglers but an improving and in form Empoli side last weekend with Mbaye Niang and Matteo Cancellieri scoring late on for Empoli to clinch that victory. That result has subsequently led to the sacking of Filippo Inzaghi just before he was set to return to San Siro.
That poor record means they begin the weekend sitting seven points adrift of safety and they have now collected just one point in their last six matches and are winless in seven games across all competitions in this calendar year. Only one team has scored fewer goals than them and only ons side has conceded more, too.
