Sampdoria’s 1-0 defeat away to Sassuolo ended a run of back-to-back victories as they have established themselves in mid-table. They come up against a Roma side that are in terrible form with just one win in their last seven league matches and their 6-2 defeat away to Manchester United in midweek in the first-leg of their Europa League semi-final will also hurt them.
