GENOA
- Genoa have fallen into the bottom three in Serie A after a fifth successive game without a win as they were edged by Napoli in midweek.
- Genoa fell behind on the stroke of half-time and despite hitting back shortly into the second half through Edoardo Goldaniga, Napoli added a second to seal the victory.
- Critian Romero missed out in midweek with an adductor issue and his availability remains in doubt while Domenico Criscito and Stefano Sturano are also doubtful.
SPAL
- SPAL lost for by three goals to nil for the second game in succession as their chances of avoiding the drop took another hit in their defeat to Udinese.
- SPAL trailed by two at the break and were unable to rally in the second half as they conceded a third late in the contest.
- Ervin Zukanovic looks set to miss out because of an ankle proble while Mo Fares and Mattia Valoti are expected to remain on the sidelines.
THE PREDICTION
This a huge game at the bottom of the Serie A table with Genoa and SPAL both desperate for the points. Neither side are in form with the pair failing to win any of their last five league matches but with SPAL losing all but four of their away games so far this season, it is likely that Genoa will be able to avoid defeat at the very least in this contest.
