Neither of these two nations managed to claim a victory on their return to action in the UEFA Nations League in September. Switzerland would have taken more positives from their performances in the double-header than Croatia did though, with them having followed up a 2-1 defeat away from home against an in-form Ukraine team with a 1-1 draw against Germany, while Croatia suffered back-to-back defeats against France and Portugal - and conceded eight goals in doing so.
