THE PREDICTION
Nigeria and Algeria are each taking to the field for the first time this year in what is a re-match of their epic 2019 AFCON semi-final encounter which was won in dramatic fashion by Algeria courtesy of a stoppage-time goal from Riyad Mahrez. A match of such drama is not likely here though as this is a friendly game played in Austria without fans present and both nations are very much looking ahead to their upcoming AFCON qualifying fixtures next month. This is not to say that there will not be some determination on both sides to get a positive result, in particular Algeria will want to keep their positive momentum intact with Djamel Belmadi’s team having lost only one of their last 20 games.
