THE PREDICTION

Japan and Cameroon are both based in the Netherlands during this international window and are each returning to action after a long period without a game. Japan’s coach Hajime Moriyasu has a squad of solely foreign-based players at his disposal, as the players who ply their trade in the J-League have stayed in Japan because the JFA did not want league matches postponed due to the need for isolation on their return to the country. This is still a strong squad though which contains the likes of Liverpool’s Takumi Minamino and Villarreal's Takefusa Kubo who are both expected to take to the field. Cameroon have also assembled a strong looking squad as their manager Toni Conceição looks to fine-tune his team ahead of their double-header against Mozambique next month. Each of the two nations have looked strong at the back in their recent outings and so this could well be a game where defences are on top, therefore under 2.5 goals is the recommended bet.
