THE PREDICTION
This is the second game of a double-header of friendly meetings between these two nations and comes only three days after Panama won the first encounter 1-0. Both coaches have been restricted with the players that they could call upon due to the impact of coronavirus and so neither team are near full strength. Three clubs in Costa Rica have been forced to isolate - which includes the league leaders Alajuelense - and with only one foreign-based player in their squad their coach Gonzalez is very restricted with the players he has at his disposal. Panama’s new coach Thomas Christiansen has had to make do without many of his experienced overseas players, and with their domestic league not yet having returned to action, much of the squad have not played competitive football in recent months. It took a goal in stoppage time to separate these two teams in that aforementioned meeting and this is likely to be another tight encounter. Under 2.5 goals is the recommended bet.
