THE PREDICTION
This is the first meeting between these two nations in just over seven years, and while Greece have won three out of their last four encounters this does not mean they are certainties to come out on top on this occasion. Austria may have lost at home against Romania last month but there have been enough positive performances from them over the last three years to suggest that they won’t let one defeat trouble them. Prior to that loss they had seven out of nine matches and they have earned some notable victories against the likes of Uruguay, Russia and Germany in the last couple of years. Greece are enjoying their best run of results for some time with four wins and draw from their last five outings, but Austria are tougher opposition than the teams they faced during that sequence and so this is a much more difficult test.
