THE PREDICTION
Turkey made yet another statement as to their Group G credentials after dispatching Norway 0-3 away from home at the weekend, backing up with 4-2 victory over the Netherlands in their opening game. They sit top of the group by virtue of goal difference and cannot afford to take their foot off the gas. Latvia meanwhile, have been beaten in both their World Cup European Qualifiers played so far, although they have not been embarrassed by any means. A narrow 1-2 defeat at home to Montenegro was followed up by a 2-0 loss away to Netherlands. Question marks must be asked regarding the physical condition of their players however, with this their third match in less than a week. Turkey have a squad far better equipped to deal with such a demanding schedule and the hosts should have little trouble in brushing aside their opponents here to continue their perfect start to the World Cup European Qualifiers.
