THE PREDICTION
Mexico are back in international action for the first time since their heart-breaking CONCACAF Gold Cup final defeat after extra time at the hands of United States. They host Jamaica, who themselves impressed at the Gold Cup by making it to the quarter-finals, however it will be a huge challenge for them to get something out of this one. Before their loss against United States, Mexico had gone unbeaten in eight matches and although they will be without star striker Raul Jimenez, head coach Gerardo Martino still has a strong squad to choose from for this encounter. Jamaica on the other hand, have been hit harder by the travel restrictions imposed by both the English Premier League and English Football League due to the Covid-19 isolating rules regarding red list countries in the United Kingdom. With that in mind, Jamaica’s squad for this particular match will be significantly weakened and Mexico should take full advantage, winning here by at least two clear goals.
