Canada comfortably made it through their CONCACAF World Cup qualifying second round two-legged tie against Haiti by an aggregate score of 4-0 to reach this stage and following a semi-final finish at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, head into their opening third round clash with Honduras with plenty to be optimistic about. Their opponents are not in the best of form defensively, having conceded seven goals over the course of their most recent three games and this bodes well for a Canadian offense that have found the net in all but one of their last 11 matches in all competitions. Such attacking firepower should ultimately overwhelm Honduras and prove the difference here in what is expected to be a Canada victory, although both teams to score is also worth consideration with the hosts having kept just clean sheet across their entire Gold Cup campaign.
