Both of these nations are hoping to successfully qualify for the AFCON finals for the second time in succession after making their final tournament debut for the very first time in 2019. Judging by their performances and results from their opening two fixtures in this qualifying group last November it seems that Mauritania are the nation most likely to succeed, as they at least have four points to their name, while Burundi have not mustered a point or even a goal from their first two games.
