THE PREDICTION
Egypt have made a disappointing start to their 2021 AFCON qualifying campaign so far as they claimed just two points from back-to-back draws against Kenya and Comoros last November. It seems unlikely that they will continue in the same manner though, their coach Hossam El Badry has been able to select a strong squad of players - which notably includes their star man Mohamed Salah - and this double header of matches against Togo presents them with a good opportunity to gain some positive momentum. Togo failed to qualify for the 2019 finals and they will face an uphill battle to make it through to the 2021 final tournament. The visitors have won just once away from home since September 2015 and they just don’t have enough quality at the moment for one to believe that they can cause an upset here. It’s worth noting that Togo have only failed to score in two of their last 12 away matches in the AFCON qualifiers though, so a wager on Egypt to win combined with both teams to score is worth consideration.
