THE PREDICTION
Netherlands come into this on the back of a 2-2 draw against Scotland that has extended their unbeaten run to three matches since a 4-2 defeat against Turkey in March. Frank de Boer’s reign since taking over from Ronald Koeman has been a bad one and the Dutch, without Virgil van Dijk are building up to a tournament in poor shape. They come up against a constantly improving Georgia that could’ve been in Holland’s group at the Euros had they defeated North Macedonia in the playoff. However, they remain on an upward trajectory; taking the lead against Spain in March only to lose with the last kick off the game being an example as well as an away win against Romania in midweek. This won’t be a walk over for the home team but they should have enough; Georgia will fancy themselves for a goal, though.
