THE PREDICTION
Belarus’ 8-0 loss against Belgium in the World Cup qualifiers in March was obviously down to an impressive Belgian performance but Belarus are not of such low quality where that result should be acceptable. However, it did continue a high-scoring theme under the management of Mikhail Markhel whereby there has been a total of 29 goals in their last seven matches. They come up against an Azerbaijan side that have scored in their last three matches against difficult opposition such as Qatar, Serbia and Turkey. That would suggest that both teams are confident of notching at least one goal each.
