THE PREDICTION

Wolfsburg have set the early pace in this season’s Bundesliga under new head coach Mark van Bommel as the only side to win both their opening two games. The league leaders face this stiffest challenge yet here as they host RB Leipzig, who bounced back from defeat away at Mainz with a comprehensive 4-0 thrashing of Stuttgart. With home advantage in their favour, Wolfsburg won’t be afraid to take the game to Leipzig, however this could lead to the Jesse Marsch’s men profiting on the break with the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Emil Forsberg afforded extra space inside the opposition half. When taking into the quality of both offensive units, each side should be able to fashion a number of clear goalscoring opportunities and regardless of who comes out on top, both teams to score must be seriously considered.
