THE PREDICTION

2. Bundesliga champions Bochum face a difficult start to life in the German top flight as they travel to Wolfsburg. The hosts secured Champions League football last season after a fourth-place finish in the Bundesliga and boast a strong side, including the likes of striker Wout Weghorst and the newly signed Lukas Nmecha from Man City, not to mention a backline that conceded the second least number of goals of all 18 Bundesliga clubs from last season. Whilst Bochum will be full of confidence after a title winning campaign and won’t make things easy for the hosts, the quality of Wolfsburg should tell here, even if they are somewhat of an unknown under new head coach Marc van Bommel and it would be a surprise if they weren’t to pick up three points.
