THE PREDICTION

Stuttgart started the 2023/24 Bundesliga season with seven victories in their opening eight matches as they launch themselves towards the very top-of-the-table. However, they come into this one on the back of back-to-back defeats against Heidenheim and Hoffenheim. They now face a Borussia Dortmund side that were thumped by four goals to nil last week against Bayern Munich before a much-needed 2-0 defeat of Newcastle in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. Dortmund had been generally more controlled this season and, given that, a high-scoring thriller is not necessarily to be expected.
