A reaction is expected from Bayer Leverkusen in this match after they fell to their first Bundesliga defeat of the season last weekend at the hands of Borussia Dortmund in a 3-4 thriller that saw Leverkusen lead on three separate occasions. Whilst the tightening up of the Leverkusen defence will have been a priority for head coach Gerardo Seoane, Dortmund boast one of the best strikers in the world within their ranks in Erling Haaland. Stuttgart do not boast such offensive prowess, although Leverkusen will have to be on their guard as the hosts have netted seven goals across their last two fixtures at Mercedes-Benz-Arena. With a superior all-round squad across the pitch, the visitors are expected to prove too strong for Stuttgart and bounce back from last weekend with three points in this one.
